Mika Kadokura

Mika Kadokura graduated from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, where she performed in the graduation concert. She also completed the Advanced Course at the same university. While still a student, she began her performance career and, after winning the top prize at the Kanagawa Prefectural Music Hall’s Recommendation Concert, one of the debut concerts for music school graduates, she went on to receive numerous awards in various auditions and competitions. In addition to solo and chamber music performances, she has appeared as a soloist in piano concertos with several orchestras and wind ensembles, including the New City Philharmonic. Kadokura is also active in recording, contributing to CD projects and recording soundtracks for TV programs.

Beyond her performance career, Kadokura is a dedicated educator. She offers practical lessons and classes that draw on her experience as a performer to help students develop skills and understanding. As a coordinator, she provides opportunities for students to recognize their learning achievements and to explore diverse perspectives in music that are not easily gained through standard lessons. Her coordination work includes organizing musicians for nationwide tours of J-POP artists, TV music programs for NHK, Fuji TV, Nippon TV, and TV Asahi, as well as performances by American artists during their tours in Japan and TV commercial shoots. She is also involved in regional cultural projects, serving as the coordinator for the “Atrium Concert” series, hosted by NHK Yokohama.

Since 2019, she has appeared as a piano concerto soloist at the Kiyosato Music Hall. Since 2014, she has been a judge for the Piala Piano International Competition. She is a member of the Japan Piano Teachers’ Association and currently serves as a professor in the Graduate School at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.
